Senior Associate
Kamil is a Senior Associate in our Dispute Resolution team. His practice focuses on international commercial and investor-state arbitrations. In recent years he has won millions of dollars for clients in disputes arising out of the Middle East, and Saudi Arabia specifically.
Kamil has successfully represented private companies, foreign sovereigns and State-Owned Entities in the resolution of international disputes brought before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Swiss Arbitration Centre (SAC), as well as the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA). He has also been involved in various litigations brought before local courts (including in Saudi Arabia) in matters related to the enforcement and annulment of arbitral awards.
Kamil is dual-trained in French and U.S. law and has experience in a variety of industries including the energy, construction, infrastructure and textiles sectors.
Kamil is qualified to practice law in Washington D.C. and New York, and is bilingual in French and English. He holds an LL.M. (with honors) in International Business and Economic Law with a certification in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution from the Georgetown University Law Center, a Juris Doctor from the American University Washington College of Law (where he was awarded the prestigious Order the Coif), and two Masters in Comparative law and French and American Business law from Paris Nanterre University.
Prior to joining K&A, Kamil was an associate at international U.S. law firms in Washington D.C. and Dubai. He has also worked at the ICC (in Paris) and ICSID (in Washington D.C.).
