K&A expands its senior team through a combination of strategic lateral appointments and promotions to Counsel across its Corporate, Capital Markets, and Dispute Resolution practices, further strengthening the firm’s depth and senior-level capabilities in Saudi Arabia and the region.
Meshal Alkolaika rejoins K&A as Counsel in K&A’s Transactional and Advisory practices. Meshal brings deep experience advising large corporates, sovereign wealth funds, and government-owned entities on complex private and public mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, and corporate advisory matters. He also advises domestic and international investors and companies across the venture capital and growth-stage companies. Prior to rejoining K&A, Meshal served as a Senior Associate at an international magic circle firm, and before that with K&A. Meshal was also recently named as one of Saudi Arabia’s Rising Stars by Law Middle East magazine.
Ghaida Meaigel is promoted to Counsel in K&A’s Transactional and Advisory practices. Ghaida specializes in equity capital markets transactions, with a focus on public M&A and IPOs, including Reg S and international offerings. She has advised issuers, banks, shareholders, and investors on numerous high-profile IPOs, rights issues, capital alterations, and restructuring transactions, and has led some of the largest and most complex public-to-public share-swap transactions in the Kingdom. Ghaida also advises government and regulatory bodies, including the Capital Market Authority, on financial and securities regulation. Ghaida was also recently named National Rising Star of the Year by IFLR Middle East.
Mohammed AlMarshed is promoted to Counsel in K&A’s Dispute Resolution practice. Mohammed is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in handling complex, high-value disputes, investigations, and white-collar and business crime matters in Saudi Arabia. He regularly represents large corporate, government-owned entities in sensitive investigations, including matters involving allegations of fraud, bribery, breach of fiduciary duties, and regulatory non-compliance. His work also extends to risk mitigation, and pre-contentious strategy, and works closely with the firm’s transactional and regulatory teams on disputes arising from complex corporate, capital markets, and restructuring matters.
Kamil Mehiz is promoted to Counsel in K&A’s Dispute Resolution practice. Kamil focuses on international arbitration and pre-contentious contractor claim work. His work includes acting as counsel on complex cross-border disputes and arbitration proceedings under the rules of leading arbitral institutions such as SCCA, ICC, LCIA, DIAC and ICSID, and is regularly engaged by multinational companies, state-owned entities, and foreign sovereigns on high-value and strategically sensitive matters. His practice includes advising clients at the early stages of potential disputes, helping them assess risk, preserve rights, and develop effective dispute-avoidance and resolution strategies.
